The best Filmed by Bike submissions have excellent music. That's why, for the second year, we're proud to bring you the Go Independent! Awards, sponsored by Bike Gallery. Use independent, licensed music in your piece and you'll be entered into the competition. The jury will select their favorite film and the winner will receive a $250 cash award.

The jury will screening for songs that provide an awesome soundtrack for your movie. It doesn't matter how many different songs you use, but everything in your movie has to be licensed (permission granted to you for the use of the music for your movie) to be eligible for the Go Independent! Awards. And maybe the song's not so great but the way you use it rocks; we think that's fair game.

* You must have the rights to use all the music in your movie
* Your movie must contain at least one song that is independent (see below)
* In order to be entered, you must check the Go Independent! box on the submission form
* Winner will be announced at the Opening Night Throwdown

For the purpose of this contest, independent means any music from a musical act that is not signed to a major record label or is not signed at all. We're talking the little guys here, the ones doing great stuff while keeping it real.
