:: CALL FOR ENTRIES ::
The deadline to enter a film is fast approaching - March 15th. Please spread the word and spend these last few days getting your films together. Complete details on submitting a film are on the website.

:: ALL ABOUT THE JURY ::
Our esteemed jury will select the winning films to be screened on April 14th. John Foyston, an Oregonian reporter, is excited to be on the jury because, as he puts it, "I never get picked for anything! (Though my sister once won a ski sweater and gave it to me...)" When asked about what types of bike films he hopes will be in the running, John says "I want to see a bike film that parses the cultural zeitgeist without being too fractal and postmodern. I'm also hoping that they'll buy the judges a beer."

Angela Valdez, a reporter for the Willamette Week, simply wants a bike film "with high drama: good guys, bad guys, conflicted heroes and intrigue."

Now that Kim Fey, a co-director of North Portland Bike Works, is beyond the days of pretending her neighborhood was a velodrome and she was the fastest, toughest girl in the world with her pink BMX, she's ready to sit down and watch some films. Kim is hoping for films that honor the quiet beauty of the bike. Oh, and as for that tough girl stuff, we here at Filmed by Bike think Kim is still one of the toughest around, even if she's no longer riding a pink BMX.

For a complete jury list, see the website.
