::1:: NEW LOGO ::
We've got a brand new logo and we're rockin it hard, sporting that
little guy everywhere we go. Special thanks to Sang Park, a
Portland-based illustrator, for his excellent work. Check it out on
our website.
::2:: GET READY FOR 2008 ::
We're already working on and looking forward to next year. Our brains
are a whirl with ideas. Nearly every screening sold out last year so
we're going to be adding additional screenings throughout the
festival. We've also got a few other tricks up our sleeves.
The deadline for jury nominations is December 30th. See our website
for the nominations guidelines. You've got plenty of time to think of
who would make an awesome jury member, or to convince your friends to
nominate you.
::3:: CALL FOR ENTRIES ::
March 1, 2008 is the deadline for entries into the festival. All
entries must be on DVD as a QuickTime movie or fully authored DVD.
Movies cannot be any longer than eight minutes, and damn if we aren't
serious about that.
::4:: WELCOME TO PORTLAND, BFF! ::
Filmed by Bike would like to welcome the Bicycle Film Festival to
Portland. I first met Brendt Barbur, the festival director, at
BikeSummer 2003 in NYC and it has been fun to watch the festival
grow. They now go all over the world with a celebration of bicycles
through film, art and music and starting on Thursday they'll be here
in Portland. See BicycleFilmFestival.com for the jam-packed lineup.
::5:: NEWSLETTER DRAWING ::
This issue's drawing is for a pack of bicycle cards and stickers. The
first e-mail message to arrive in my mailbox with a complete postal
address (US or international) wins. Send to Info@FilmedByBike.org.
Good luck.
